Walsall Police went to the scene to direct the traffic after the silver Renault Clio being driven by a 22-year-old female rolled over in Broadway.

The accident happened near the junction with the A34 Birmingham Road at about 2.45pm afternoon.

Crew Commander Chris Hands, of Walsall Fires Station, said: "For some reason that the driver couldn't explain the car left the road and struck a tree. It then rolled over and came to rest on the driver's side in the middle of the carriageway.

"There was severe traffic congestion along the road as a result of the car being in the road. We pushed it to the side of the road to assist the police in getting the traffic moving. There was oil on the road and we cleared that up."

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the woman was given a check up at the scene but was unhurt.
