For years, FIFA players could pretend to be Chris Brunt, James Morrison, Ben Foster and even Peter Odemwingie.

And as much as West Brom fans have enjoyed taking control of their favourite players on the computer game stalwart, there has always been something missing - The Hawthorns.

But now the game's maker EA Sport has announced that all 20 Premier League grounds will be featured on the next instalment, FIFA 15.

That means Albion fans will no longer have to put up with playing all their home matches in the generic 'Square Ground', which also happens to be the same stadium as Bournemouth or Górnik Zabrze.

The famous stadium, the highest of any football league club above sea level, will now take pride of place in the game.

On the previous incarnation, FIFA 14, EA Sports only created eight grounds, those that are home to the biggest clubs in the league. But this new move means fans will now be able to 'visit' the Boleyn Ground, Brittania Stadium, and even Turf Moor.

The team behind the game was given exclusive access to Premier League clubs, which allowed them to take detailed photographs and accurately recreate them for consoles.

The cheers, chants and sounds of more than 20 Premier League matches were also recorded, which means FIFA 15 is expected to have realistic audio for reaction to goals, misses, whistles, and will have crowd-specific songs.

John Homer, chairman of the WBA Supporters' Club, admits that he is no gamer, but anything that puts Albion on the map is great.

"Obviously anything that promotes the club is going to be good, and it should be good for the younger fans," he said. "There'll be a lot of people out there who are excited by this."

Players of the game have also been reacting to the news on Twitter.

MostUnfurrowed added: "It looks pretty fantastic, at least on Xbox One. Can't wait to see Gareth McAuley's face there."

But, JohnRedrup pointed out: "Will be good. Not sure about the rolling hills in the background though."

Sharp-eyed players of the game may also notice one thing out of place. At the end of last season the Baggies removed the matchday control room from the back of the Smethwick End, increasing the stadium's capacity to 26,586. However in the screengrab of the in-game stadium issued by EA Sports, it appears as though the control room is still in place in the Smethwick End, and the capacity is listed as 26,272 - the previous number of seats.

Other features in the latest version of the iconic game include goalline technology and authentic player head scans.

All told, FIFA 15 is set to be the biggest and best than ever after EA Sports extended its partnership with the Premier League. The gaming giant will continue its long-standing association with the top-flight as its official sports technology partner until 2019.

The undisclosed deal will showcase the Premier League as the most authentic league in FIFA 15, with an unprecedented level of detail in the players and all 20 stadiums.

Goalline technology will also feature for the first time when the game hits the shelves in the UK on September 26 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The deal has given EA access to capture 3D head scans of over 200 Premier League players, plus capture the emotion of the crowd by recording live match atmosphere during the 2013/14 season.

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore revealed his delight with the extended partnership and fans of the top-selling game will no doubt be equally enthused.

'EA SPORTS is a long term licensee of the Premier League and we are extremely pleased to extend our existing agreements with them,' he said

'They have worked with our clubs to enhance the Premier League element of FIFA 15 like never before and they continue to engage with football fans in a variety of innovative and exciting ways.
