Phil Taylor confirmed for Grand Slam of Darts

Reigning champion Phil Taylor will return to Wolverhampton in November to defend his Grand Slam of Darts title at the Civic Hall.

Other competitors confirmed for the £400,000 tournament include former winners Raymond van Barneveld and Scott Waites, current World Champion Michael van Gerwen, UK champion Adrian Lewis, 2008 runner-up Terry Jenkins and Jan Dekker.

Alan Norris, Robbie Green and Stephen Bunting are all set to make their debuts at the event, alongside World Youth Championship finalists Keegan Brown and Rowby-John Rodriguez.

Other qualifiers include previous Grand Slam of Darts finalists Andy Hamilton and James Wade, former World Championship finalists Peter Wright and Simon Whitlock, 2013 World Grand Prix runner-up Dave Chisnall and Belgian brothers Kim and Ronny Huybrechts.

Dean Winstanley, a semi-finalist two years ago, and two-time quarter-finalist Tony O'Shea will also return to the stage, with Christian Kist, Wesley Harms and Richie George qualifying by virtue of their Lakeside Championships performances.

Further qualifying places are available for the finalists in October's World Grand Prix and European Championship and in The Masters at the start of November, with any remaining places to be filled at the Grand Slam of Darts Wildcard Qualifier on November 3 in Wigan.

The event runs between November 8 and 16.
