A pile of tyres inside the empty single-storey building in Woodwards Road, Pleck, were on fire when crews arrived at around 8.43pm last night.

Crews from Willenhall and Bilston attended the scene. They left at around 10.25pm.

West Midlands Fire Service spokesman Matthew Smith said the cause of the fire was not yet known and that investigations were ongoing.

He said: "We were called to reports of a small fire within the building. There was a lot of smoke damage."
