The Shenapur restaurant, in Hagley, near Stourbridge, was hit at the weekend.

The culprit took more than an hour to gain entry to the premises. Nothing was stolen but around £700 damage was caused to the door.

Police said the offender gained entry to the Worcester Road premises in the early hours of Saturday through gardens of neighbouring homes in Kidderminster Road.

He arrived at about 12.45am and left just after 2am. A rear fire door was forced, activating the alarm.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
