A computer graduate from the Black Country was today starting a 12-year jail sentence for posting messages on an Islamic extremist website calling on Muslims to murder British MPs.

Bilal Zaheer Ahmad from Wolverhampton was described by the judge as a "viper in our midst".

The 24-year-old posted messages on a US-based site listing 395 politicians who voted in favour of the war in Iraq.

The website was visited by 21-year-old Roshonara Choudhry, who was jailed for life in November for trying to murder Labour MP Stephen Timms at an advice surgery.

Ahmad, an IT graduate from Dunstall Hill, wrote on Facebook:?"This sister has put us men to shame. We should be doing this."

He listed MPs' contact details and suggested constituency surgeries were 'a good place to encounter them in person'.

He also posted a YouTube internet video in which he said:?"My message to the West – you are all going to die."
