Officers were called to Smestow School in Windmill Crescent, Castlecroft, on Tuesday shortly after 3pm

It was alleged by the parent that a student was chased by two others. No-one was injured.

Martyn Morgan, headteacher of Smestow School, said: "At the end of the school day on Tuesday we received a call from a concerned parent alleging that one of our students was being chased by two people from another school.

"I would like to stress those two people were not pupils from our school.

"The concerned parent had already called the police and I immediately sent a number of members of staff outside school.

"We ensured all of our pupils were collected or made their way home safely.

"The police were seen driving around the area.

"The student who was chased was unharmed and has returned to school today. We would be more than willing to help police with any enquiries they may be undertaking as a result of the claims from the concerned parent."
