Happy campus: Walsall College prepares for open evening

It has been rated as one of the best college's in the country for student satisfaction - now prospective newcomers can learn about what it has to offer.

An open day is being held at Walsall College on Thursday to see the range of qualifications available for students from 4-7pm.

The college which has its main campus at Wisemore was rated fourth for the level of satisfaction for those offering higher education provision.

The results from the 2015 National Student Survey revealed that 96 per cent were happy with their courses in 2015, exceeding the national average of 86 per cent.

Further highlights saw the quality of academic support at an outstanding 99 per cent while personal development was rated 97.

The college offers subjects from business, computing to fashion.

The open day allows prospective students to speak to tutors about courses and tour the state-of-the-art facilities.

Principal and chief executive Jatinder Sharma OBE said: "With the cost of university still on the rise, studying locally has never looked so attractive and our small classes and personalised tuition appeal to students of all ages."

The open day will be held at the college's Wisemore Campus on Littleton Street West.
