La Creperie, in Martin Street, Stafford, is holding its annual pancake eating challenge tomorrow.

The competitors will race against time to see who can eat as many 40cm wide crepes as possible in just 30 minutes.

Last year's winner, Alex Love, managed an impressive 14 of the French pancakes in the time.

Owner of La Creperie, Georgina Finch, said: "We're always really busy on Pancake Day, and we're expecting it to be even busier considering it's during half term this year.

"Last year's event was great fun. We're very much looking forward to this year's competition to see if the record can be beaten and at the same time raise funds for an amazing charity.

"And for those that can only manage the one, we have a menu full of different toppings and fillings to choose from."

Entrants will be asked to pay an entry fee of £10 for adults and £5 for children and all proceeds will be donated to the Donna Louise Children's Hospice, which serves families across Staffordshire.

To apply, entry forms are available from La Creperie on 01785 749706 or email Lisa Courtney at Lisa.courtney@donnalouisetrust.org
