Workforce numbers at the firm's Walsall headquarters have now surged past the 1,200 mark, with a recruitment drive for 220 more staff already underway.

The success story on home soil has been mirrored by the company's performance abroad. The household repairs and insurance business says it now has more customers in the USA than in Britain.

Incredibly, HomeServe's combined customer numbers in the UK and USA is now around five million – a fantastic achievement for a firm that started out providing plumbers for South Staffordshire Water.

The Black Country should be proud to have such a successful and still growing business at its heart.

HomeServe provides services that people rely upon, as well as creating jobs and wealth for the region.

It also excels when it comes to innovation, with a new leak detecting device invented by boffins in Walsall already at the testing stage.

We applaud HomeServe and hope its success acts as a shining example for other firms to emulate.
