Go Carz seeks new drivers after buying rival Wolverhampton taxi firm
The largest taxi firm in the West Midlands has continued its growth by taking over an established Wolverhampton private hire firm and is stepping up recruitment of drivers.
Go Carz, which has its head office in Shrewsbury, has merged with Central Taxis, which means the firm is now carrying out more than 35,000 journeys a week across Wolverhampton and Walsall.
Bosses at Go Carz have recently upgraded their back-office systems with state-of-the-art technology and are excited about the future.
Managing director Carl Wilday said: "We are delighted to have brought Central Taxis into the Go Carz group, as they are a well-established firm with a good client base in Wolverhampton.
"It means we are now the largest private hire firm in the West Midlands by some distance, and we are absolutely committed to providing the best possible service to our customers.
"We have invested in our technical systems behind the scenes, which means we have a booking system which is second-to-none, as well as a fantastic ability to track our vehicles and manage the fleet.
"The aim is that this all adds up to a thoroughly professional service and low waiting times for passengers."
