All of the school's students in Year 9 took part in the annual event organised by Mr. Phillips (Teacher of Business) and Mr. Skinner (Assistant Headteacher).

The event was supported by INCO Contracts who are based in Cannock. Representatives from INCO Contracts were in attendance and offered valuable insights into the construction industry for Wolgarston's Year 9 students.

INCO Contracts even arranged a visit to one of their sites based in Cannock for some of the school's students too.

This year the challenge set for students was to design both a 2D and 3D model for a proposed new school canteen and sixth form centre. Throughout the day, students demonstrated impressive resilience, collaboration, and creativity.

"I always look forward to our school hosting this annual event and our students having the opportunity to take part, immersing and fully engaging themselves in the task set by our guest speakers," said Mr. Skinner (Assistant Headteacher), "There were, as always plenty of exceptional ideas that our students showcased to the judging panel, demonstrating the skills which they had acquired and developed throughout the day."

"After careful consideration, INCO representatives Tim, Billy, and Harry selected students from Mr. Adams' tutor group. The winners, presented the judging panel with a contemporary design which stayed within budget and that perfectly met the brief," said Mr. Phillips (Teacher of Business), "All of our students who took part should be proud of themselves, Mr. Skinner and I look forward to hosting the event next academic year and see what amazing ideas our students will create. We would like to thank INCO Contracts for giving up their valuable time and sharing their important insights and expertise with our students."
