Access Creative College announce brand-new ‘Summer Camps’ for young creatives
This August, Access Creative College will open the doors of their Digbeth campus for three, 3-day creative summer camps in music, media and games from August 4-6.
Participants on the music camp, titled ‘Summer Hit Factory’, will be tasked with writing, recording, producing and performing a ‘feel good hit of the Summer’. Media camp attendees will take part in an ‘Expresso 90’ short film festival, including writing, shooting and editing a short film to be shown at the closing event, and games attendees will create their own video game, pitching the final game to an industry professional.
All camps will be led by Access Creative College’s expert tutors, from the campus’s dedicated music, games and media spaces.

“We are really excited about our new Summer Camps taking place this August from our campus here in the creative heart of Birmingham. It's a great opportunity for young people to get together and collaborate on a project with like minded people straight out of the gate. Over the 3 days, they will get a chance to try their hand at creating something they’re truly passionate about, using our amazing facilities right here in Digbeth. We can't wait to welcome the next generation of talented young people, and to give them the tools to start their journey to a rewarding career in music, media or games.” - Zoe Green, Head of Campus for Access Creative College Birmingham
The camps are a unique opportunity for any young person with an interest in one of the three areas to learn key processes and roles within their desired industry, and the final pieces produced as part of the event can be added to a professional portfolio to show to future employers.
The Access Creative College Summer Camps are free events, open to people aged 14 to 17. Places can be booked by visiting accesscreative.ac.uk/events.
