Isaac Price's first half goal separated the two sides - with Albion having to dig deep in the second half to see the game out.

Grant over Johnston

Ryan Mason's selection didn't throw up too many surprises - well none at all in fact.

However, he did stick with Karlan Grant over Mikey Johnston, with Grant having played a lot of football in pre-season.

It is widely thought that Johnston and Tom Fellows are Albion's two first choice wingers, but Grant must have done something to impress his manager in pre-season.

He fully justified his selection. Without doing anything spectacular - the wide man put in a solid display.

Worked hard, did his job and did carry a threat at times. It seems Johnston may have a job on his hands to win his place back.

Philosophy but mixing it up
