Walsall spoilt for choice with 'versatile' Mason Hancock - Mat Sadler

Mat Sadler says he does not want to confine summer signing Mason Hancock to just one position at Walsall next season.

Hancock predominantly played at left-back in a four-man defence last season, but has also been deployed as a centre-back in the past.

The 22-year-old, signed from Scottish Championship outfit Airdrieonians this summer, impressed at left wing-back during his second half showing against Leamington on Tuesday night.

Walsall scored all four goals after the break and Hancock helped set-up the first for Charlie Wragg with a low cutback from the byline.

His energy and quality of crosses from wide was one of the key takeaways from their 4-0 win in Warwickshire, but Sadler does not want to put a label on where he will play next season.
