The Baggies have announced plans for a Clash of the Legends match which will take place during the first international break of next season, on Saturday September 6.

Yacob and Scharner are among the first names to be confirmed for a contest which will see club favourites from home nations pitted against those from the rest of the world.

James Morrison, Chris Brunt and Jonas Olsson are also pencilled in to play. All proceeds from the event will go toward the Albion Foundation.

Jonathan Ward, deputy director of the Foundation said: “We’re delighted to announce our next legends charity game. Hosting this fixture to help celebrate our home’s 125th anniversary is really special for everyone involved.

“Having two sets of players supporting the Foundation whilst representing their nations at The Hawthorns will be brilliant.

“Our last game, Clash of the Legends: Brunty vs Mozza, was a great success and an amazing day of celebration.

“We’re excited for the event, and it will undoubtedly help us raise vital funds to support the incredibly important work achieved in our local community."

Tickets are priced at £12.50 for adults (17 and over), and £5 for children (16 and under), with hospitality packages starting from £55 per person. They will go on sale later this summer.

Albion have also unveiled plans to plant 20 hawthorn trees at the ground, as part of the anniversary celebrations.
