Forensics and emergency crews rush to serious incident in area of Wolverhampton believed to be a stabbing

A serious incident has closed several roads in an area of Wolverhampton after emergency services rushed to the scene.

Roads in the Merry Hill area of Wolverhampton have been sealed off while police work at the scene

An air ambulance was seen landing on a field near to Fareham Crescent in the Merry Hill area of the city on Monday evening.

As of 8.40am on Tuesday, Strathfield Walk remains sealed off in parts and Fareham Crescent. Residents living inside the cordoned off area are being escorted out of the area by police if they wish to leave the house.

Forensic officers have also been seen in the area.

Reports on social media suggest the incident may be a stabbing.

West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
