There are major delays on the M6 in the Black Country this morning.

National Highways have warned motorists to expect delays between Walsall and Wednesbury.

National Highways tweeted: "The M6 southbound between J10 Walsall and J9 Wednesbury currently has 45 minute delays due to a broken down lorry in lane 2 (of 4).

"National Highways Traffic Officers are on scene."

Traffic delays continued this morning, after the lorry was cleared.

A National Highways update said: "The broken down lorry on the #M6 southbound between J10 #Walsall and J9 #Wednesbury has been cleared and ALL lanes are running.

"There are residual delays of 30 minutes which will decrease shortly."
