At around 7.15am on Monday morning, Smethwick Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at a property on Hagley Road West.

Officers discovered around 200 cannabis plants inside which is thought to be worth an estimated street value of £200,000. The electricity meter had also been bypassed to power the grow.

All cannabis plants seized from the address will now be destroyed by West Midlands Police.

The warrant was executed as part of Safer6 week in Sandwell and officers have released images from the early morning raid, including a photograph of an officer breaching a door, and cannabis plants inside the property.
