'You live on through the memories we hold dear' - Heartbroken family pay tribute to father-of-four who died in South Staffordshire crash

The family of a man who died after an accident in South Staffordshire have paid tribute to him.

Steven Simpson, aged 42, of Bilbrook, died in hospital on Monday, November 10 after being involved in a collision on Stourbridge Road, near Beggars Bush Lane , Wombourne, on Tuesday November 4.

At the time, it was reported that two vehicles, a car and a van, were involved in the crash and a man, in his 40s - now reported to be Steven Simpson - was taken to hospital after sustaining a serious head injury but died days later. 

Another man, from the van, was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

Paying tribute to Steven, his family said in a statement: "It's with deep sadness that Steven passed away  due to the injuries he sustained in a earlier road traffic collision

"Steven was a much-loved father to four boys, a cherished son and brother. You are gone but will never be forgotten. Thank you for your strength and spirit in life.

"You live on through the memories we hold dear. Rest peacefully Ste."

Officers from Staffordshire Police's  collision investigation unit are continuing to appeal for information in relation to what happened.
