More than 7,000 music fans attend the 10th WV1Fest Tribute Festival in West Park Wolverhampton
More than 7,000 music lovers descended on West Park for the first day of the 10th WV1 Festival in West Park, Wolverhampton - the ultimate tribute festival.
The first WV1Fest attracted just under 2,500 people and its formula of quality heavy metal tribute bands rocking in a festival setting at an affordable price proved a hit.
Now a two day event this weekend's WV1Fest treated fans to 30 live acts included a Saturday evening dedicated to the memory of Ozzy Osbourne complete with a minute's howling to the full moon.

With the price of concert tickets and festival passes rocketing in recent years WV1Fest was designed to be family friendly and affordable.
Founder Jools Taylor told the Express & Star: "Today was fantastic, the atmosphere was just incredible. This is a our tenth year and to have 7,000 people here and for the sun to actually come out really topped the day off.
"When we started 10 years ago we got 2,500 people to come and we've not moved from West Park. Through word of mouth we have got bigger and bigger which takes more organisation but it is worth it. We have now got two stages and a lot more acts. The people of Wolverhampton always bring a brilliant energy."

Manchester based Jools added: "We started in Manchester at Heaton Park and the came to Wolverhampton and just fell in love with West Park. We now are seeing children who have grown up coming every year."

He added: "Everything just came together perfectly, obviously being a rock festival in the West Midlands weeks after we lost Ozzy, the Saturday night was always going to celebrate Ozzy Osbourne.

"So to have the sun come out during the day and for there to be a full moon tonight, it is an evening perfect to celebrate The Prince of Darkness."

Today (Sunday) The Rabbit Hole Stage will host The Darkest, Floyd in the Flesh, Smiths Utd, Green Days, LinkinPark and Red Hot Chili Peppers UK and the Hangar Stage has Death or Glory (The Clash), Michael Mathers, 5'0 (The Police), The Artic Manckeys and the Amy Winehouse Experience.
