Dudley police carry out week-long neighbourhood initiative
Dudley neighbourhood officers from West Midlands Police have been out and about in the community over the last week tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and catching suspected shop thieves.
On Sunday August 3, sharp-eyed officers from the Halesowen neighbourhood team caught two shop thieves in the act and quickly arrested them. Both have now been charged.

The Halesowen team have also been out patrolling Bethesda Gardens Park, in Cradley, in response to public concerns about ASB. They spent time chatting to people who live in the area and giving out advice on how to report incidents,
Elsewhere, Dudley Town PCSOs joined the Chit Chat group at the Canal Trust for some community engagement.
The town centre team have also been out patrolling the Russells Hall estate with the Streetwatch team, taking the time to talk to residents about local issues in the area.
Separately, the Brierley Hill team recently made an arrest with the firearms unit after carrying out a search warrant at an address in Pensnett.
The teams located a large amount of cash, Class A drugs, and a cannabis grow with the electricity being bypassed.
