Kindly sponsored by Pritchards Electrical Communications Limited, this fiery fundraiser invites participants to conquer their fears and walk barefoot over hot coals to raise funds for the Hospice’s specialist palliative care and support services.

Taking place on Saturday, November 1, at The Lamp Tavern, Dudley, the evening promises to be an exhilarating test of determination. Every brave participant will receive full safety training and expert guidance before taking their steps across the embers. The minimum age to take part is 18.

“The Firewalk is one of those events that captures the spirit of our supporters: bold, determined, and full of compassion,” said James Totney, Deputy Head of Fundraising at The Mary Stevens Hospice. “Every person who takes on this challenge helps ensure we can continue to provide compassionate care when it’s needed most. We can’t wait to see our community come together for what will be an unforgettable night.”

Participants are encouraged to invite friends and family along to cheer them on and share in the excitement. Once registered, fundraisers will receive full support from the Hospice team, including tips and materials to help them reach their sponsorship goals. Open to anyone aged 14 or over, all participants will receive full safety training and expert guidance before stepping onto the coals. Whether you're taking part or just coming along to support, there’s free fun for the whole family, including stalls, entertainment, and a live fire performance to set the scene.

By taking part in the Firewalk, every step across the coals will make a difference to the lives of patients and families affected by terminal illness in the local area.
