Stourbridge care home brings the local community together for 'Carechella'
Staff, residents, relatives and members of the local community came together at Iverley View Care Home in Stourbridge to enjoy a vibrant, festival-themed open day known as ‘Carechella’, held at the home on Saturday, June 21.
The team at Iverley View pulled out all the stops, transforming the garden into a mini festival site complete with live music from: D’Artagnan, Maggie O’Hara, Kim Pickering and her Sax and Duo Joachim and Cecilia. Dancing, mocktails, and plenty of themed fun. The energy was high and the smiles were even higher, rain or shine!

Staff made sure everyone felt welcome and were thrilled to see families, friends, neighbours and residents enjoying the day together. Guests were treated to delicious food including music-themed Canapes; Rolling Scones (Charcoal scones filled with Cream Cheese & Pickled Onion) and lots more ! Homemade Chips and delicious cakes, lovingly prepared by the home’s incredible kitchen team, Chef Matt and Shinu.

A visitor commented: “I’ve never been to a festival before, now I want to go to another one! The food was amazing, the music made us all dance, and even the rain couldn’t stop us from having fun.”

Amanda Morgan Bennett, General Manager at Iverley View, said: “We’re so proud to have hosted Carechella here at Iverley. Events like this are all about celebrating life, laughter and togetherness and that’s exactly what we saw all day long. Huge thanks to the team, the community, and everyone who joined us.
