Homebuilder helps Midlands town beam with pride
This Pride month, David Wilson Homes Mercia has donated £500 towards the festivities at the first Solihull Pride in September.
Taking place on Saturday, 6 September, this will be Solihull’s first ever Pride event and the support from the housebuilder, also based in Solihull, has gone towards the event’s entertainment.
Melanie Palmer, Chief Executive at Solihull Pride said: “We are thrilled to welcome David Wilson Homes as an associate sponsor for this iconic event in Solihull, all funds are vital to supporting the event and ensuring everyone has a chance to enjoy the day whilst building a legacy of inclusivity and kindness in a town centre that welcomes everyone.”
The one-day event will feature a series of events and activities, including a colourful parade, live music performances, and special guests, such as award-winning cabaret artist Fatt Butcher and celebrity hairdressers Royston Blythe and Nick Malenko.

The event will be compèred by esteemed local presenter, Phil Oldershaw, and feature musical tributes to Madonna, Cher and Elton John. One main stage will be the focal point in Mell Square showcasing guest speakers, live music and entertainment.
