South Staffordshire entrepreneur recognised for success after completing start-up support programme
A South Staffordshire entrepreneur who completed a specialist business support programme last year has been recognised for his achievements after launching a successful new venture.
Raj Findlay, founder of IT consultancy and educator, Zeng Solutions, was recently named a finalist in the Good2Great Start-Up Awards 2025 - an honour that celebrates the most promising new businesses in the region.
The Good2Great Start-Up Awards recognise businesses that have overcome adversity and demonstrate generosity, determination, and a commitment to going above and beyond in serving their customers and communities.
Raj’s business journey was supported by a fully funded programme designed to help aspiring business owners across South Staffordshire turn their ideas into reality. Delivered by leading consultancy Good2Great in partnership with South Staffordshire Council, the initiative offers expert coaching, hands-on workshops, and practical support to help entrepreneurs launch and grow their ventures with confidence.
The programme, which has already helped hundreds of individuals like Raj to start and scale sustainable businesses, has now been extended till March 2026 —giving even more residents the opportunity to access free support and expert guidance.

“Raj’s journey is a testament to the power of local enterprise and the impact of tailored support. It’s inspiring to see entrepreneurs in South Staffordshire turning ideas into thriving businesses. Through one-to-one support with Raj, it’s been great to see his business grow from strength to strength, and we’re excited to see what he does next.” said Lucy Adams, Business Engagement Officer, South Staffordshire Council.
The relaunched programme continues to offer tailored, one-to-one coaching alongside interactive Business Foundation Workshops, covering everything from business planning and marketing to financial management and developing a growth strategy. It is open to residents in South Staffordshire who are thinking about starting a business or have recently launched one.
Eddie Allan, Head of Programme Delivery at Good2Great, added: “Raj is a brilliant example of what’s possible when people are given the right support at the right time. His success reflects the resilience and ambition we see in so many programme participants. We’re excited to continue supporting the next generation of South Staffordshire entrepreneurs.”
