Local performers, families and traders turn out for charity fundraiser at Stafford Town FC
Hundreds attended the annual Party on the Pitch event at Stafford Town Football Club on Saturday, 14 June, with an afternoon full of live music, family entertainment, and fundraising – despite a brief spell of heavy rain.
The event, organised by Lorraine Conkey of LR Partnership Events/Staffordshire Cultural Events CIC, brought together a variety of local performers, traders, and community groups. Entertainment on the day included live music from Sarah & The Debonaire Boys, Disco Divas, The Standards, and Teachers Pet Rock Show UK, who closed the day with their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Dance troupes such as Dappa Dance, Dance Fusion, GKY Dance 2 Step Academy, took to the and stage, alongside a return performance from The Serenity Singers Choir. The event was compèred by Cat K from VIBE 1 Radio.
Children's entertainment included Football Fun Factory activities, a fun fair by Warwick Funfairs, and inflatables. Local motorcycle group Oxleathers MCC were also in attendance, raising funds for the Royal British Legion and offering visitors a chance to view their classic motorbike collection.
Lorraine Conkey said: "We'd like to thank everyone who supported the event, particularly those who stayed after the rain. The day was a real team effort and continues to raise funds for Stafford Town FC and several local causes."
