Elan Homes has transformed Lorne House into apartments, respecting the history and integrity of the building while ensuring the homes are fit for modern living.

The apartments are available to view by appointment only, but buyers can gain an insight into the layout, quality and finish thanks to digital technology.

Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball explained: “Lorne House is a bespoke scheme, where we’ve given an existing building a new lease of life by adapting it to provide six apartments, two on each floor. We understand that people looking for an apartment in Lichfield are curious about the work we’ve done and the spaces we’ve created. Some potential purchasers have made repeated visits to the apartments to help them try to decide which one best suits their lifestyle. To help satisfy buyer curiosity we have a video and virtual 360tour available via our website. Thanks to these digital resources they can look around the show apartment whenever they want and from wherever they want, sharing the links with friends and family to get their feedback too.”

There are four apartments currently available, each with two bedrooms, priced from £385,000.

They are located on the first and second floors of the building and accessed via a central lobby and staircase or lift. There are two apartments on the first floor, plus two penthouses with vaulted ceilings and exposed steel, on the second floor.

Each has a combined kitchen, dining and living room to maximise the potential of the space.

The main bedroom in every apartment has an en-suite, effectively making the main bathroom the guest bathroom. For those who only need the second bedroom for friends and family staying over, they could create a dual function space in the spare bedroom, also using it as a home gym, luxurious dressing room or hobby room.

Elan is offering to help homeowners sell up and move on with its Easy Move scheme.

“EasyMove is an ideal solution for downsizers as there’s no link between the property they’re selling or buying. We’ll value the customer’s home and instruct independent estate agents to market it. When they receive an acceptable offer, they can reserve their new apartment and we’ll pay the agent’s fees,” Tracey explained.

“Alternatively, we could offer a 5% deposit contribution on selected apartments.”

The apartments enjoy a quiet setting, close to the railway line and just a short walk to Lichfield City station and the city centre.
