Manager Mick McCarthy took his team back to Home Park to face Plymouth - the venue of his first match in charge of Wolves two years ago.

Jody Craddock captained the side on his 150th league appearance for the club, while Richard Stearman and David Jones made their competitive debuts for McCarthy's men, in central defence and central midfield respectively.

Craddock and Stearman were flanked by right-back Kevin Foley and George Elekobi at left-back, with Wayne Hennessey in goal.

Jones lined up as the left central midfielder, with Karl Henry on the right side of midfield and Michael Kightly on the right-wing. Stephen Ward starts ahead of Matt Jarvis on the left.

As expected, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Keogh were the manager's choice in attack, ahead of new signings Chris Iwelumo and Sam Vokes.

Ebanks Blake, returning to his former club, had recovered from the eye injury that forced him off after 36 minutes of the 4-2 win against Blackburn last Saturday.

Strike partner Keogh was looking to add to his strike against ex-Wolves skipper Paul Ince's side in the convincing victory over the Ewood Park outfit.
