Nick Powell has agreed to join Wolves says Hull boss

Nick Powell has agreed to join Wolves, according to Hull City boss Steve Bruce.

Hull hoped to sign the ex-Manchester United midfielder, who was on loan at the KC Stadium last season.

As reported earlier on Monday it appeared Wolves had moved into pole position to sign the 22-year-old.

And Bruce said today in a radio interview that Powell has chosen to move to Molineux.

In an interview with BBC Radio Humberside, Bruce said: "We're disappointed that it looks as if we've missed out on Nick Powell.

"You'll have to ask Ehab (Assam, vice-chairman) why.

"We look as if we've lost (out) to Wolves with Nick.

"I left it to Ehab (to offer a deal). I spoke to Nick last Wednesday and he incented to me that he would want to come back.

"He's obviously chose Wolves."

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett last week admitted the club were interested in Powell - but stated that any deal wouldn't be done until the ongoing takeover situation was finalised.

With Powell's future now seemingly sorted there will be hopes that the takeover has also been completed.

Documentation was sent to the Football League late last week and an announcement is expected any day to confirm that Chinese billionaire Robin Li has bought the club.
