D-Day approaches for Wolves contracts

Wolves will delay an announcement on the future of their out-of-contract players until next week at the earliest.

The contracts of Bjorn Sigurdarson, Tommy Rowe, Razak Boukari, Aaron McCarey, Liam McAlinden and Zeli Ismail all expire at the end of this season.

Only Sigurdarson has been involved in the first team recently, with Boukari out injury since August and Ismail, Rowe and McAlinden all out on loan, at Cambridge, Doncaster and Crawley respectively.

It is expected that an announcement will be made on the futures of the six players next week.

Boss Kenny Jackett said: "We will leave it until next week to see exactly where we are before we speak to those players."

One player who has penned a new deal is striker Bradley Reid.

The Welsh under-19 international broke his leg last summer but has scored regularly for Wolves' under-21s and was rewarded with his first appearance in a first team squad away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Reid has signed a one-year contract with the option of an extra year. He tweeted: "Delighted to have signed a new contract at Wolves! Excited to see what the future brings."

The deal was initially put on the table in February when Wolves announced their retained list from the under-21 squad.
