Arsenal ended Jose Mourinho's 25-game unbeaten run, but even Manchester United fans weren't that fussed

It contained many draws.

Arsene Wenger had never beaten Jose Mourinho in the league, so when his Arsenal side beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, it was the end of a long drought for the manager of the north London side.

However that wasn’t the only run ended by the result – United hadn’t lost a league game since October 2016, a 25-game streak that saw them go more than six months without defeat.

But the run, albeit impressive, did lack something – it was a little light on wins.

Of those 25 games, Mourinho’s side won 13 but drew 12, earning 51 points – points were dropped in home draws against Burnley, West Ham, Hull City, Bournemouth, West Brom and Swansea City.

As a result, United spent a lot of time in sixth, moving more recently into fifth – the number of stalemates explains why some United fans aren’t all that bothered about about losing the streak.

What does a good unbeaten run resemble? Galaxy? Milky Way?
