Eric Gordon scored 27 points off the bench as the Houston Rockets saw off the Golden State Warriors 127-105 in the second game of the Western Conference finals.

Gordon was among five Rockets players to hit double-digits at the Sony Centre to tie up the best-of-seven series at 1-1.

James Harden also hit 27, PJ Tucker shot 22 and Trevor Ariza had 19 as the Rockets’ balanced attack outscored the Warriors in each of the four quarters.

A Gordon jump shot late in the first put Houston ahead, with the home side leading for the rest of the game and extending the advantage into double figures.

Kevin Durant top scored with 38 points for the Warriors, but Steph Curry had only 16, and shot one three-pointer from eight attempted.

Klay Thompson fared worse shooting only eight points after scoring 28 in the series opener on Monday night.

Game three takes place at Golden State on Sunday.
