What the papers say

Brazilian star Fred is due to head to the north west, with Manchester United and Manchester City both scrapping it out for the signature of the 25-year-old midfielder, according to the Daily Mirror. Shakhtar Donetsk have put a price tag of around £50million on the player, which may be too rich for Arsenal who are also said to be interested.
