Kurtley Beale shows off his ‘budgie smugglers’ to Prince William
The two met in the Australia dressing room after the win over Wales
It is not every day you can get away with standing next to a future king in only your swimming briefs but full-back Kurtley Beale did just that after Australia’s victory over Wales.
Beale posted a photo of himself. wearing just his “budgie smugglers” alongside the Duke of Cambridge on his Instagram account with the caption: “When you rock up to the party feeling a little over dressed”.
The 28-year-old wore just a pair of Australian-themed swimming attire and held a bottle of beer in the Australia dressing room as William, the Wales RFU patron, grinned in his two-piece suit.
The former Leicester utility-back scored a second-half try to seal a 29-21 win at the Principality Stadium in the Wallabies’ opening match of their autumn international series.
Former basketball star Shaquille O’Neal joined in the fun by posting his version of the photo on his Instagram account.
Australia next face England on Saturday, who overcame Argentina in a 21-9 success to earn Eddie Jones’ 20th Test victory from 21 matches in charge of the national team.
