Jimmy Greaves scored 266 goals for Tottenham in a stellar career and if Harry Kane continues the way he is he may one day catch him.

Twenty-four-year-old Kane already has 110 for Spurs making himself one of the most feared strikers in Europe – something Greaves was once himself.

Greaves suffered a stroke in 2016 and remains in a wheelchair but on Friday, Spurs shared a heartwarming photo of the two together.

Greaves is Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer and Kane is not yet in the top 10 but, at his current rate of scoring, he could well be close within the coming seasons.

Greaves not only excelled with his club, but also with England, scoring 44 times for his country. Kane has 12 from 23 appearances.

“It was an honour to meet Jimmy. His achievements at Spurs and his goal record for club and country are certainly things that I aspire to,” Kane told Tottenham’s official website.
