Wolves' Ruben Neves and Aston Villa's Conor Hourihane nominated for goal of the month award - with VIDEO

Wolves’ Ruben Neves and Villa’s Conor Hourihane have both been nominated for the Championship Goal of the Month award ahead of their derby meeting.

Neves and Hourihane are in the running for their respective strikes.

Neves is on the shortlist for his long-range curler against Sheffield United on February 3, while Hourihane's stunning volley in the Second City Derby also made the cut. They will be up against Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Jamie Allen (Burton), Liam Kelly (Reading) and ex-Wolves loanee Adam Le Fondre (Bolton).

Ivan Cavaleiro just missed out on winning the PFA Championship Player of the Month Award. He earned 18 per cent of the vote to finish second behind former Villa winger Adama Traore (31 per cent).
