The American ace was speaking after being voted the club’s Rider of the Year by supporters.

Becker has made a stunning impression on the Monmore Green regulars and has enjoyed a fine debut campaign in British Speedway.

And before he heads back home to the States this Wednesday, Becker was quick to tell club bosses where he wants to be in 2020.

“There’s no question about it, I want to be back at Wolves next year,” Becker said. “Even if I got offered more money by another club, I’d still stick with Wolves if they wanted me back again.

“It’s a really great club, the people are awesome and it’s been a privilege to ride for them in my first season over here in the UK.

“I really hope the opportunity is there for me to come back here but obviously we have to wait and see what’s going on with the leagues and the rules for next year first.

“Everyone has made me feel really welcome at Wolverhampton and to be heading back home with the Rider of the Year trophy means a lot.

“It’s a real honour and I can’t thank everyone who voted for me enough; they’ve been awesome all year, they’ve got behind the team and as I’ve said I really hope I can build on everything by being back with Wolves next year.”

Wolverhampton’s scheduled Premiership Supporters’ Cup fixture against Peterborough was abandoned after just two races following unexpected and consistent downpours, while Cradley Heathens’ Max Clegg finished third in the National League Riders’ Championship, which was abandoned after 14 heats.
