Wolverhampton finally launch their 2018 Premiership campaign this evening with Rye House Rockets the visitors to Monmore Green.

After a number of frustrating postponements, the Parrys International Wolves are chomping at the bit ahead of their season opener.

The Monmore men reached last year’s Grand Final and returning reserve Nathan Greaves is keen to help his side achieve that again while proving any doubters wrong along the way.

“We want to be fighting for the title again like we were last year, and I definitely think we’re capable of it even if some people disagree,” Greaves said. “We want to prove the doubters wrong and show how good we are, and it’d be nice to prove a bit of a point with a good performance against Rye House in the first meeting. We’re capable of beating anyone and we still have some top riders in the team.”

It promises to be an entertaining fixture with Rye House possessing a solid side throughout.

Popular duo Scott Nicholls and Chris Harris, who boast 10 British Championships between them, are consistent performers at Wolverhampton and Stuart Robson showed his liking for the track too in 2017.

Former World No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak is also included along with ex-Wolf Max Clegg who is a former British Under-19 Champion.

Admission is £18 adults, £13 concessions, £7 juniors (13-18 inc.), £1 children (6-12 inc.) and kids five and under go free.
