Woffinden launches his bid for a third title in the Aztorin Slovenian FIM Speedway Grand Prix on Saturday in the Matije Gubca Stadium, Krsko.

Woffinden will also have a familiar face back in his pit corner with a welcome return for mentor Peter Adams after a year out.

Woffinden said: "I think that year break from it was good for our working relationship, we never fell out or anything like that, it was just good to do something different.

"I talked to Pete mid-way through last season and when I had the opportunity to ride for him again at Wolverhampton it was nice to be working with him again.

"He's refreshed and ready to go again this year and I'm personally delighted to have him back as part of my team. Pete has a lot of experience down the years and he's very organised, his presence will benefit me in a big way at the Grand Prix."

He has an impressive record there having reached the final in the last two seasons after a night of high scoring power.

"I've had some good meetings around there and I'm really looking forward to Saturday," he said.

"Krsko is a big, fast track and it should be a great meeting."

Woffinden is not worried by a lack of racing after the postponement of his first league outing in Poland.

"The time I've had on the bike has been good for me," he said. "I'm comfortable with everything.

"I've also spent extra time training and it's nice to have spent some time at home back in the UK.

"But now the season starts properly and I'm ready for it."
