Last weekend’s 52-12 home win over Preston Grasshoppers further increased hopes of a top-five finish at Stourton Park, as Neil Mitchell’s men followed up the previous week’s success at Scunthorpe.

But they must now look to get the better of a Wharfedale team whose form currently ranks among the best in the division, with four wins in five matches since the turn of the year.

Stour will hope Dan Rundle can continue his superb scoring record, after the wing ace bagged a hat-trick of tries against Preston, taking his tally for the season to 26.

Rundle opened the scoring when he charged down a kick inside his own half, setting the tone for a dominant performance in which Stour had a bonus point in the bag by the break.

Callum Morris increased the advantage, before Josh Trinham’s quick-fire double made the half-time score 26-0.

Preston were more competitive after the break, but it was still the hosts in the ascendency.

Jack Lea got their fifth try of the game and Rundle the next two to complete his treble, before Arthur Morgan scored to take the team points total past 50.
