Rugby clubs around the Black Country and Staffordshire will be opening their doors early on Saturday so fans can watch the final between England and South Africa and enjoy breakfast at the same time.

At least 20 clubs in Staffordshire, Wolverhampton, the Black Country and Kidderminster are showing the big game as fans hope for England to win the Web Ellis Trophy for the second time in their history, 16 years after the 2003 triumph.

It will be the culmination of a month and a half of top quality rugby union and a tournament full of surprises.

It will also be the fourth time the World Cup final will be played during the morning in the United Kingdom, with two finals in New Zealand in 1987 and 2011 and England having won the final in Australia in 2003.

Stourbridge Rugby Club is one of the clubs opening its doors tomorrow and Commercial Director Miles Edge says everyone is welcome.

"I think it's wonderful to be able to open our doors and we'd like nothing more than to welcome in people to the club and make them feel at home," Mr Edge said.

"We're especially looking forward to greeting people who are there for the first time and will have their first experience of watching a game in the club.

"For me, it's going to be far better to watch the game in a warm rugby club than sitting at home or in a cold pub."

The club is preparing for busy weekend, with its family bonfire and fireworks night on Friday evening and a first team home game against Wharfedale on Saturday.
