Sandwell edge 14-goal thriller to keep up unbeaten record

Table-toppers Sandwell Athletic maintained their unbeaten tag in the Wolverhampton Sunday League after emerging victorious from a thriller with Pilot.

The Division Two encounter served up 14 goals with Athletic eventually coming out on top 8-6.

Kevin Ward and Ryan Wheeler both netted twice for Athletic with Chris Clarke, Daniel Humphries, Daryl Westwood and Ivan Jones joining them on the scoresheet.

Pilot replied through Harry Charlesworth (two), Aaron Brown, Oscar Charlesworth, Jack Benton and an own goal.

Ryans Rhinos were also among the goals, netting five with out reply at Bradmore Social.

Rhys Slyde (two), Craig Radnor, Lee Warner and Alex Banks found the net.
