Goals from Jamila Palmer, Shannie Jennings, Sophie Bramford and Lyndsey Glover steered them to a 4-1 win at Leafield Athletic.

Wolves made the best possible start with Palmer striking in just the second minute.

The home side levelled through Michelle McCormack but Wolves then took charge.

Shannie Jennings’ mazy run forward created the opportunity for Bramford to hooked a half-volley into the far corner.

Jennings then rounded off a fine team move to make it 3-1 at half-time.

After the break Wolves performed professionally to consolidate their first half advantage but were limited in terms of chances created.

The final goal came in the last minute when Glover burst down the right and fired into the top corner.

Wolves are at Bedworth on Sunday.

Angelique Morley was the star turn for Sporting Khalsa in their clash with Long Eaton.

Morley struck once in each half to help Khalsa to a 3-0 win against a side who had started the day with maximum points from their first four games. Lauren Walker added the hosts’ other goal.

The victory lifted Khalsa, who travel to Solihull Moors on Sunday, up to fifth.
