Josh Holliday, from Kingswinford, who coaches at Woodfield Social and Sports Club in Penn, has been busy preparing for special Wimbledon warm-up sessions.

They are in addition to Holliday’s summer and winter schedules for juniors aged from seven to teenagers.

His Wimbledon warm-up sessions begin tonight, running between 6-8pm for aged four to eight. Signing up is £10 and there are prizes for all children. There is another session on Saturday, 12 - 3pm, at £15.

Holliday has rebranded his coaching sessions at the club under ‘Ying Yang Tennis Academy’ in a bid to boost its presence.

“Tennis is dying so I’m trying to do everything I can to bring it back,” he said. “Playing tennis is something that ticks all the boxes for young kids and I’m doing as much as I can to get my new sessions promoted.

“I wanted to be a little different so I called it Ying Yang Tennis Academy and the slogan is ‘teaching the balance of control and power’.”

Holliday is supported by ex-professional Italian player Roberto Gaeta and has been boosted by funding from the Princess Trust. For more information search Facebook for Ying Yang/Josh Holliday tennis.
