Talented Lions trio are hoping to Box clever
Kev Dillon has high hopes for three Lions Boxing Club stars as they prepare to punch for gold.
Lewis Mason, Harry Bevan and Paige Ford are heading to Bristol this weekend for the Box Cup.
Head coach Dillon says success in the two-day event would mark impressive progress for the youngsters and be a confidence-booster for the remainder of the season.
Stourbridge’s Mason, 12, is fighting at -40kg, Bevan, 13, from Kingswinford, will compete at -46kg while Brierley Hill’s Ford, 13, fights at -53kg.
Dillon said: “I’m hoping all three come back with gold. I really do think they can do it. It’s a smaller tournament and they’re all going into it off winning records.”
