The clash between the top-flight heavyweights was one of only two games to go ahead on Sunday and it was second-placed Jacks who picked up a crucial victory.

Jacks went ahead early on when Kieron Miller pounced on a mistake from the Sundats defence to round the keeper and score.

But Penn were back in the clash before half-time courtesy of a fine free-kick from Carlo Franco.

As the game went on, both teams enjoyed their fair share of possession and looked like it was going to end all square. But jacks then struck when Sean Williams’ free-kick found the back of the net.

And the hosts wrapped up the three points a few minutes from full-time when substitute Jaspal Bhandal slid a through-ball to Nicholas Turton and he finished smartly.

The victory leaves Jacks six points behind Sundats with three games in hand.

The teams still have the reverse fixture to play.

The only other action took place in Division Four where Health Direct entertained Saint Michael Sunday.

And the home side were left feeling off-colour as goals from Robert Zaleski and Przemek Gorka clinched the win for Saints.
