Sandur’s side are heading to the Aspray Arena (7.45pm), having picked up one win, one draw and two losses so far in the Premier Division. They lost 3-1 to Lye Town at Hazel Lane on Saturday, writes Joe Edwards.

“We’ve had good spells but we want it over the whole 90,” said Sandur.

“Don’t get me wrong, it’ll be tough for us this season.

“We’ve had a complete rebuild – there’s only two here from last season, the side that got promoted.

“But the artificial pitch at Khalsa may benefit us.

“We know Khalsa are strong – they’re always up there and they’re looking for back-to-back wins – but I’m confident if we play our best, for the full 90, we can come away with a positive result.”

On the Lye result, he added: “It was a bit frustrating as we didn’t start very well.

“We didn’t really get going until the second half, and that has been our problem – we’ve only been playing for one half, really.

“We had a few chances in the second half, enough to win it, but we just didn’t put them away and got punished.

“When you’ve only got a couple of the lads over 21, that can happen. We want to improve in that aspect though.”

Khalsa are going into the clash on the back of a 2-0 win against Loughborough University.

Tesfa Robinson got both of the goals.

Ian Rowe had made some changes to the squad ahead of the game.

Full-back Jordan Hunt has arrived having spent the 2017-18 campaign at Lichfield City and been on trial at Stafford Rangers during pre-season.

Striker Kyle Brady has returned after a short spell at Walsall Wood, who lost 2-0 to Ilkeston and host Loughborough Uni tonight.

Fellow forward Tony Clarke has left Khalsa to rejoin Wood.

AFC Wulfrunians, after beating Coventry Sphinx 2-0, welcome Westfields to Oak Park. Lye are at South Normanton Athletic.

Meanwhile, in Division One, Brocton are back in action after an emphatic victory. They beat Coventry Copsewood 8-3 on Saturday and host Paget Rangers tonight.

Brocton strated the game on the front foot and Matt Kimmins was on the scoresheet in the fifth minute when he converted from close range.

Jack Weldon made it 2-0 before the 10-minute mark, and Lee Osborne 3-0 after quarter of an hour.

The Badgers netted a fourth goal on 38 minutes when Rohan Wedderburn-Spencer was on hand to tap in. Copsewood managed to peg one back on the stroke of half-time.

Wedderburn-Spencer completed his hat-trick after the break.

Lee Osborne and Kieren Nelson then netted for Brocton, either side of a quick-fire Copsewood double.

Heath Hayes lost 5-2 to Racing Club Warwick. Matt O’Doherty and Osiris Robinson got the goals for the Hayes.

In the North West Counties League Division One South, Eccleshall enjoyed a 5-2 win against

Barnton.

Bradley Carr and Dan Needham netted in the first half for the Eagles.

Louis Downs got two in the second half, either side of another Carr strike.
