Ace McGrady puts the bite on Tigers

James McGRADY had a spring in his step after firing Bloxwich Town under-21s to victory in the their top of the table Spring League clash with Trysull

McGrady bagged a hat-trick as Town eased to a 5-1 success. Luke Oakley and Adam Toddington added to their team-mate’s haul.

Jack Pitchford grabbed a consolation for Tigers as their unbeaten start to the competition came to an end.

Penkridge were comfortable winners in the Charity Cup. Goals from, Marcus Bazzi (2), Jack Dixon (2), Sam Brook and Billy Sneddon saw them beat Penn Rovers 6-0 on home soil.

Cheslyn Hay under-19s duo Dylan Hall and Edward Pomroy proved too hot to handle in the Charity Cup clash with Bloxwich Rangers.

The duo were in sparkling form with Hall netting four times and Pomroy bagging a hat-trick in Hay’s 7-1 success.

Coven United also had an ace marksmen, with Gabe Brooks scoring four times in their 6-1 win against Great Barr United.

Charlie Swingwood and Jack Hague added United’s other goals with Ryan Dolphin replying for Great Barr.

Great Barr Harriers Athletic went down 3-1 at home to Penkridge FC.

Callum Lippiatt notched for Harriers, but Andrew Ellis (two) and Tom Sabin saw Athletic to victory.

In the Under-17 Autumn League, goals from Matthew Gill, Josh O’Toole and Liam Dawson saw Wood Green Athletic overcome Gunners 3-0 to take the runners-up spot.

The only Spring League clash saw AFC Bilston and Great Barr Harriers draw 1-1.

St Joseph Colts and Bloxwich Rangers served up a thriller in Under-16s Division One.

Colts finally edged home thanks to a four-goal blast from Matthew Garnett and one from Jordan Lane. Rangers replied through Callum Holder, Sam Lynex, Aaron Alcock and Tyler Caunt.

Silverdale Spartans chalked up a 3-1 win at Bustleholme thanks to Ben Jones, Jake Barker and an own goal. Oskar Porebski notched for the hosts.

Under 16 Division 2

In the only game today Great Barr Harriers and Coven Utd played out a 0-0 draw.

Ashmore Park Rangers are through to the semi-finals of Division One Charity Cup. Two goals each from Bradley Shinton and Isaac Matongo saw them to a 4-2 success against Silverdale Strikers.

The Under-13 Spring League saw Lanehead Bullets find the target seven times without reply against Springvale.

Dean Taundry and Liam Westwood Rogers both netted twice with Cameron Humphries, Luke Tolley and Josh Perkins also notching.

All Star Wanderers and Punjab United played out a 0 -0 draw.

AFC Willenhall were out-gunned by Rising Stars Academy.

Tom Page and Stefan Abbotts found the net for Willenhall, but Stars took the spoils thanks to Mathab Muhammed, Aryan Ahmedzai, Mohammed Jessi, Mussa Amuri and Abdisdam Nur.

There was little charity on offer as Lanehead Jaguars under-11s ran riot in the Charity Cup.

Sharp-shooter Lewis Mangra led the way with a six-goal salvo during Jaguars’ 23-0 success against Springvale.

Rhys Greatrex and Jenson Bridges also found their scoring touch as they both netted four times.

Coven United crashed 5-1 to Liddar Sports. Jaideep Sangha grabbed a treble for the visitors with Ranveer Uppal and Asa Jandu adding the other goals.

Black Country Ravens recorded a rare defeat today in what was a close game against Lanehead Utd. Caevahn Pugh and Oliver Pile scored for Black Country with Clayton Jack netting a brace and Hayden Sankey adding to the score for Lane Head.

Semi-Finalists for the U11’s Charity Cup are :- Black Country Ravens, Lane Head Utd, Liddar Sports and Lane Head Jaguars.

Under 8/9 Spring League

A Harvey Murphy goal helped Coven Utd U8’s earn a creditable 1-1 draw against Springvale Steelers U9’s, James Read netting for Steelers.

Pendeford Utd U9’s with goals from Tyrone Chamunorwa (2) and Rodrigo Puel gained a hard fought 3-3 draw with St Josephs Colts U9’s, Latham Tonks, Jayden Dearn and Joe Jeater scoring for the Colts.

Penn Rovers U8’s with goals from Tino Maombe and Randy Shargbeh gained a 2-0 victory over Coven Utd U8’s.

The top of the table clash saw Springvale Steelers U9’s go down 2-4 against undefeated Pendeford Utd U9’s. James Read and Mason Bevon scored for Steelers and goals from Tyrone Chamunorwa (2), Crystal lane and Zion Robb Kept Utd in top spot.

In the last game St Joseph Colts U9’s ran out 3-0 winners against Penn Rovers U8’s Colts goals coming from, Jayde Dearn (2) and Joel Jeater.
