Their recent form has not been stellar, with just one win in their last five league fixtures and none in their last four.

As a result they enter the final nine games of the season 13th in the table, with 35 points.

Opponents West Ham are 14 points and eight places better off, as they continue with their unexpected hunt for a top four finish and Champions League football next season.

It was a day to forget for Nuno Espirito Santo and his men when they took on the Hammers in their own back yard back in September and lost 4-0.

Joao Moutinho is a doubt for the game having missed the last two Portugal games during the international break.

Rui Patricio has been passed fit for the fixture following the head injury he sustained in the game with Liverpool, Daniel Podence has also returned to training and could feature.

Fernando Marcal remains on the sidelines alongside long-term absentee Raul Jimenez who continues to improve from the serious head injury he sustained against Arsenal earlier this season.

West Ham will be without Andriy Yarmolenko and Angelo Ogbonna. Arthur Masuaku is doubtful, but could feature having played in the reserves for the Hammers recently.
